Barcelona attacker Pedro has stressed that he is happy with the playing time he has been getting under head coach Tito Vilanova.

The Spain international faces stiff competition for a starting berth at the Catalans, but is quite pleased with the way things are going so far as he accepts that becoming a key figure at Camp Nou is not easy.

"It’s always complicated to play for Barca. Each year I have had to fight for a spot," Pedro was quoted as saying on the club's official website.

"You have to earn your place and work hard. The objective is to help my team-mates, the more minutes on the pitch and the more games I play, the better.

"Tito is giving me a lot of confidence. I’m very comfortable with my position in the team and I’m working well with my team-mates."

Pedro, 25, has netted once in eight La Liga appearances this term.
